Set design for a speculative 1st Year design project of ‘Animal Farm’ set at the Lyric Hammersmith, alongside one of the children’s drawings that inspired it. The images below show the progression of the stage throughout the course of the show – it would start looking just like a children’s drawing, with some pop-up and fold-down elements. The floor would gradually become more and more chaotic with black ink stamped from the characters’ feet, until near the final showdown when the prints of the pigs would turn red.
